Proto Star First Run TORO — Overstable Approach — 168 grams (3014-1)

$19.95

Co-developed by Innova disc designer Dave Dunipace and Star Team member Calvin Heimburg, the Toro is a small-diameter, beadless, overstable mid-range that fills a gap in the Innova lineup.

For slow-panning anhyzers and a range of utility shots, the Toro is Innova’s most overstable, least gliding mid-range at its speed. It can be thrown flat at full power with no concern of the disc flipping over. With so little glide, the Toro is extremely reliable for upshots. Its overstability gives the disc a predictable finish, but its slow speed allows it to check up nicely on greens where a faster disc might skip away. With a flat-top and low-profile, the Toro is similar to a Rat, but even more overstable.

From Michele: “I have been happy with my RAT  for forehand approach shots and short-distance S-curves, but Mike asked me to try the TORO and it is FANTASTIC. It has a bit more oomph than the RAT and now I’m landing shots at and even in the basket from 100 ft. out. This is my new go-to approach and I give it my highest recommendation.”
